Overview

Compoundee (The App) is a standalone compound interest and tvm calculator app made in Santa Cruz California by GoodHumans ("Compoundee", "us", "we", "our"). We respect your privacy. Compoundee is a pure standalone app. It performs all of it's computations on your device. It stores all of it's information on your device, and that information is only accessible from your device. The app does not communicate with our servers.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

  • Within the app The App does not independently collect any personably identifiable information. If you choose to add personally identifiable information in the title and/or description fields while saving a bookmarked (favorite) calculation, that information is stored on your device. It is never communicated to our servers, and it is completely unaccessible by us.
  • Support emails When you email us for support, you usually provide us with your name & email address. That information along with the content of your email and our reply is stored in our email account. We do not perform any analysis or analytics on these emails, but we might re-read your prior emails when responding to a subsequent support request by you or someone else who is experiencing a similar problem.
  • Compoundee newsletter When you sign up for the Compoundee Newsletter, you provide your email address. We also collect information about your interactions with the newsletter. This is discussed further in the MailChimp section of this document.

Anonymous Collection of Information

The App does not collect any usage or other analytic information.

Any information stored by the app in iCloud is governed by Apple's policies.

Service Providers

MailChimp

The App uses MailChimp to manage the Compoundee Newsletter. The information you provide during that signup process is transmitted directly to MailChimp without the involvement of our app. MailChimp is the processor of the information collected by your interactions with the newsletter, and we are the controller of that information. You can learn more about this in their own Privacy Policy. In most cases, you can unsubscribe from our email list and be removed from their database without our involvement, but please contact us with any specific requests.

This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this App.

Notification of Change

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will include a link to those changes in our app so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users within the app.
